Colombian singer Shakira confirmed the extension of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour in El Salvador, announcing two additional concerts, bringing her residency in the Central American country to five dates. The announcement came after tickets for the first three concerts sold out in less than 24 hours, a milestone that reflects the enormous demand and regional impact of the artist.

Through her official account on X (formerly Twitter), Shakira celebrated the public’s response with a brief and forceful message: “Let’s go for two more dates! Thank you, El Salvador and Central America”. The confirmation came after the start of the official sale, which began on December 17, causing an avalanche of purchases in record time.

According to a statement shared with EFE by the singer’s press office, the public’s reaction was “massive and extraordinary”.

“Shakira is once again marking an unprecedented milestone in the history of entertainment. The three dates of her residency in Central America sold out in less than 24 hours,” the letter detailed.

This result led the promoters and the artist to make the decision to extend the agenda in the country.

The first confirmed concerts are scheduled for February 12, 14 and 15, 2026, and will be held at the Jorge ‘Mágico’ González National Stadium in San Salvador.

So far, the exact dates of the two additional shows have not been announced, but it is expected that they will be added to the same period, given the concept of residence that the singer will perform in the Salvadoran capital.

Hours before Shakira’s official announcement, El Salvador’s president, Nayib Bukele, also highlighted in X the impact of the phenomenon.

“Shakira sold out all the tickets for her 3 dates in less than 24 hours,” wrote the president, who added that the producers are making a “huge effort” to extend this Central American residency based in the country.

Shakira’s presence in El Salvador also has a symbolic value.

The artist visited the country in 1998, when she was still at an early stage of her international career, and participated in a local television program.

More than two decades later, he returns as one of the most influential figures in global music, capable of selling out multiple stadiums in a matter of hours.

In 2025, Shakira was recognized by Billboard as “The highest-grossing Latin tour by a woman in history,” an achievement that reinforces the magnitude of her current tour and explains the high demand it has generated in Central America and among the Latino community in the United States.

Fans are advised to stay tuned to Shakira’s and the organizers’ official channels, where dates and details of the two additional concerts, as well as information on new sales stages, will be announced soon.
