Brazilian singer Anitta announced Monday that Colombian Shakira will have a participation in one of the songs of her next album, ‘Equilibrivm’, which will be released on April 16 and will have interpretations in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
“You have no idea how happy I am to announce this collaboration for my album Equilibrivm,” said the Brazilian queen of pop and urban music in a post on her Instagram page in which she tagged Shakira.
In the same publication, illustrated by a representation of a tarot card in which the two singers appear designed, with Shakira under the sun and Anitta under the moon, the Brazilian clarifies that the song they perform as a duet is called ‘Choka choka’.
In the comments of the publication, fans speculate about the possibility that both will perform the song at the free concert that Skakira will offer next May 2 at Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro.
Anitta announced last week, precisely when she was celebrating her 33rd birthday, the release of her next album and said it will be available on all digital platforms from April 16.
Shakira to be Anitta’s special guest on her new album

The new work, whose stylized title highlights in ‘EquilibrIVm’ the Roman numeral “IV” in allusion to her fourth album aimed at the global market, includes songs in Portuguese, Spanish and English, in line with the international strategy that the artist has consolidated in recent years.
According to the information already disclosed by the producers, the album will be presented in two phases. The first will be focused on the Brazilian audience, with unreleased tracks in Portuguese that explore genres such as funk, samba and reggae.
Confirmed collaborations for the Portuguese songs include artists such as Luedji Luna and Rincon Sapiência.
Some songs, such as ‘Pinterest’, have already been previewed as a single, while others were featured in recent performances by the artist.
Equilibrivm follows Funk Generation (2024) and comes at a time of international consolidation for Anitta, considered one of the leading figures in Latin and Brazilian pop today, reported Agencia EFE.
