Colombian singer Shakira unleashed the euphoria of her fans outside the National Stadium in Lima, just hours before resuming the first of three dates scheduled in Peru as part of her tour ‘Women No Longer Cry World Tour’.

Fans of the popular artist have been camped outside the stadium for a few days to be the first to enter the concert and be able to see and, if possible, touch the singer, who returns to Lima after canceling a date of her tour last February due to an upset stomach.

On Saturday, Sunday 16 and Tuesday 18, Shakira will meet again with the Peruvian public to sing “Girl Like Me”, “Hips don’t lie”, “Te felicito”, “Monotonía” and classics of her discography such as “Waka Waka”, “Antología” and “Ojos así” accompanied by her dance team and a constant movement of the hips.

On Friday night, the artist arrived in Lima, coming from Los Angeles where she attended the premiere of the movie Zootopia 2, and went to her hotel in the district of Miraflores, without having contact with fans or the press that was waiting for her there.

Her fans are eagerly awaiting to know which Peruvian celebrities she will choose to accompany her in the segment ‘Camina con la Loba’, among them are former Vedette Susy Díaz, TV host María Pia Copello and models Flavia Laos and Luana Barrón, among others.

As has happened in other cities on the tour, Shakira has also invited the Lima Philharmonic Orchestra to perform a special version of her song “La Pared”.

The orchestra’s coordinator and violist, Ariadna Ramirez, said they were “happy for this opportunity and to represent the Philharmonic Orchestra with Shakira, it is very important”.

Minutes before entering the National Stadium, fans rushed to buy pink cowboy hats, lilac wigs, gypsy sashes, t-shirts, headbands and wolf tails to complete the outfit that crowns the concert night.

In view of the thousands of attendees at this point of the city, the Urban Transport Authority of Lima and Callao (ATU) announced on its social networks that it will extend its service hours until midnight during the three days of concerts, of the Metropolitano and Corredor Azul bus services.

The next stop on the Colombian singer’s tour will be Santiago de Chile on November 22 and then Asunción on November 28 and 29.
