A shooting inside a Mormon church in Grand Blanc, Michigan, left at least one person dead, nine wounded and the attacker shot and killed by police.

According to official reports, the attacker crashed his car into the entrance of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, got out armed and started shooting at the attendees.
The shooting took place around 10:30 a.m. local time, when a religious service was taking place.
After the attack, the building started to catch fire.
The flames consumed part of the structure before firefighters were able to control them.
The exact causes of the fire are still under investigation.
The Grand Blanc Police Department confirmed that the assailant was shot at the scene and assured that there is no further active threat to the public.
Authorities asked the community to stay away from the site while investigations continue.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi reported that FBI agents are already on site working with local authorities.
For his part, FBI Director Kash Patel called the attack a “cowardly and criminal” act.
