2025 was a particularly busy year for the entertainment industry, marked by massive tours, historic coronations and records on digital platforms.
Figures such as Bad Bunny, Fátima Bosch and Shakira shone brightly and included Mexico as a key point in their international agendas. At the same time, on the global scene, names like Taylor Swift and Drake consolidated their cultural and musical dominance, making it clear why they continue to be undisputed industry benchmarks.
Bad Bunny and his impact in Mexico
Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, known worldwide as Bad Bunny, was one of the most outstanding artists of the year in Mexico. The Puerto Rican singer offered eight concerts at the GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City, all of them sold out. Each presentation was marked by an ambitious production, surprise guest artists and the inclusion of the “La Casita” stage, one of the most talked-about elements of the tour.
Among the guests who accompanied Bad Bunny on different dates were Julieta Venegas, J Balvin and Natanael Cano, who contributed unique moments to the concerts. Beyond the musical success, the artist also took time to visit cultural and popular venues, such as Arena México. According to the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Canaco), his visit would have generated an economic revenue of approximately 3,228 million pesos for the country’s capital.
Fátima Bosch and a historic crown
In the field of beauty pageants, Fátima Bosch, 25, from Tabasco, made history by becoming the fourth woman to win the Miss Universe title for Mexico. Her triumph came after a hard-fought competition in which she managed to advance and stand out in each of the rounds of the pageant.
Days before the final, Fatima publicly denounced having been humiliated during pre-competition activities in Thailand, stating that the pageant director called her “dumb”. Subsequently, an apology was offered and the pageant continued as normal. Finally, Bosch was crowned at the Impact Arena in Pak Kret, winning the “Lumière de l’Infini” crown, a Jewelmer piece valued at almost five million dollars.
Shakira and her dominance on Mexican stages
Shakira was also the undisputed star of 2025.
