Mexican singer Thalia will release her new album ‘Todo suena mejor en cumbia’ on April 17, whose first single, ‘Boomerang’, can already be heard this Thursday.
With this new project, which will be available on all digital platforms, Thalia reaffirms her love for this genre, in which she had already ventured with songs like ‘Ojitos Mexicanos’ or ‘Dancing Queen’, which premiered at the recent ceremony of Premio Lo Nuestro, and her collaboration with Los Angeles Azules ‘Yo me lo busqué’.

According to a release, ‘Boomerang’ builds a narrative about those loves that leave a mark impossible to ignore. The song portrays that bond that, even after distance or an attempt to move on, remains present in some form.

The song is accompanied by a video that shows a miniature Thalía in the home of her love, as a constant memory that lives in the protagonist’s mind and silently accompanies him as he tries to move on with his life.
“Thus, the video turns the metaphor of the ‘Boomerang’ into a clear image: there are loves that, no matter how far away they may seem, always find a way to return,” the statement highlights.

It also indicates that this new work promises a journey full of cadence, identity and deep connection with the rhythms that have accompanied the singer’s artistic career, which includes acting.
In addition to her new album, Thalia will be recognized on April 29 at the Hollywood Palladium with the Icon Award at the Billboard Women in Music gala for her more than three decades of career, reported Agencia EFE.
