‘The Pitt,” the hit drama that follows the workings of a fictional emergency department in Pittsburgh and has been awarded five Emmys, will have a third season.
The president and CEO of the HBO platform and HBO Max, Casey Bloys, announced the renewal of the series last night in Los Angeles, precisely during the premiere of the second season, reported The Hollywood Reporter (THR).
The second season of The Pitt takes place 10 months after the first, over the Fourth of July weekend, giving Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, played by actor Noah Wyle, and the other characters time to address the issues that arose following the mass shooting and other incidents that occurred in the first season.
