U.S. President Donald Trump and FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced on Monday the “FIFA Pass”, a new system that will streamline immigration procedures for fans who have purchased tickets for the 2026 World Cup.
The “FIFA Pass” will allow ticketed fans to obtain priority access to the State Department for appointments at U.S. consulates ahead of other scheduled appointments.
Trump strengthens consular plan

“We have deployed more than 400 additional consular officers around the world to deal with this situation.”
“In some cases doubling the consular presence in our embassies in certain countries,” explained Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
The announcement was made in the Oval Office following a meeting of the White House World Cup Task Force, which included Trump, Infantino, Rubio and other members of the team.
“For those who intend to join us at the World Cup, I strongly encourage you to apply for your visa immediately,” Trump said.
Rubio urges to apply for visa as soon as possible

Rubio detailed that in close to 80% of U.S. consulates around the world, it is now possible to get an appointment within 60 days, including in Argentina and Brazil.
“Our advice to everyone is, if you have a ticket for any of the games, apply for a visa as soon as possible if you haven’t already done so.”
“Don’t wait until the last minute,” Rubio insisted.
“Your entry is not a visa. It does not guarantee entry into the United States. What it does guarantee is an expedited appointment.”
“Still, they’re going to go through the same verification process. We’re going to do exactly the same checks as anyone else. The only difference is that we’re moving them up in line,” Rubio added regarding the FIFA Pass.
