U.S. star Winona Ryder will return to work alongside director Tim Burton and Jenna Ortega in the third season of ‘Wednesday’ (Merlina), Netflix reported.
Ortega, Burton and Ryder last worked together on the 2024 film ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’, the sequel to the 1980s film ‘Beetlejuice’ starring Michael Keaton.
Also joining the new season, which is currently in production in Dublin, will be Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan and Kennedy Moyer.
Winona Ryder joins the series ‘Merlina’.

It was previously announced that Eva Green would play Morticia Addams’ sister Ophelia, alongside Ortega (Wednesday Addams), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams) and Luis Guzman (Gomez Addams).
“I’m very excited to be back for season three and it’s great to be reunited with the entire original cast. The addition of some dear friends and former collaborators of mine, such as Winona, Eva, Chris and Noah, makes this season even more special. I feel very fortunate,” Burton said in the statement.
The premiere date of this production has not yet been confirmed. Premiering in 2022, the first season of ‘Wednesday’ (Merlina) became the most watched English-language series on Netflix of all time, reported Agencia EFE.
