The Mexican National Team and Adidas officially presented the new green jersey that will accompany El Tri during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a tournament to be held in Mexico, the United States and Canada.
The design recovers the classic green with which Mexico has experienced its greatest soccer exploits. It is inspired by the historic France 1998 World Cup uniform, one of the most beloved by fans. The chest features a pattern inspired by the Aztec Calendar and pre-Hispanic motifs that pay tribute to Mexico’s cultural heritage. Red and white details on the collar and sleeves complete a look full of national identity.
Design and technology: tradition and innovation
The Mexican National Team’s new jersey was developed with Adidas HEAT.RDY technology, designed to maintain coolness and ventilation during competition.
The brand’s characteristic three stripes are located on the shoulders, with micro-perforations that improve air flow.
In addition, the fabric uses recycled materials as part of the brand’s ecological commitment.
According to Adidas, the pre-Hispanic symbols were made with the advice and authorization of the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), guaranteeing respect for cultural heritage.
