When Adamari López and Toni Costa decided to end their relationship, one of the most important commitments they made was to maintain a cordial coexistence for the sake of their only daughter, Alaïa.
From the beginning, they both made it clear that, although their history as a couple was over, their responsibility as parents would continue to be a top priority. Over time, they have tried to build a parenting dynamic based on respect and communication, even though it is not always easy.
During one of the broadcasts of the show Desiguales, which airs on Univision, Adamari spoke with complete honesty about the challenges she faces with her ex-partner.

The host acknowledged that, as in any human relationship, there are disagreements. “Between Toni and I there are times when we disagree and we have differences,” she confessed before the cameras. However, she stressed that these differences do not become an obstacle when it comes to prioritizing her daughter, who is currently 10 years old.
The presenter explained that, although sometimes arguments may arise, they never happen in front of Alaïa. “Sometimes we can pull our hair out on the phone or in a conversation without Alaïa in front of us, but what always prevails is the child’s well-being,” she assured, making it clear that the minor should not be affected by the conflicts of adults.
Adamari Lopez and Toni Costa: Maturity, Ego and Good Energy
Adamari was proud of the way in which both she and Toni have been able to assume their role as parents, despite the separation. In her words, maintaining a healthy relationship after a breakup requires a high degree of emotional maturity. “We have to let go of our ego, the feelings because the relationship is over. It requires maturity, many times the ego speaks more than feelings, it is better to be carried away by the good energy”, he expressed, highlighting the importance of acting with conscience and responsibility.
A clear example of this cordial relationship was recently experienced during Alaïa’s Christmas recital, an event in which both parents were present to support her. They even shared a family moment when they took a picture together, demonstrating that they can live together in a respectful way when it comes to accompanying their daughter in significant moments.

Adamari reiterated that, although she and Toni are no longer together and each has gone their own way, Alaïa is the bond that unites them for life. “We have a daughter that unites us and that we have to see to her physical and emotional well-being,” she said. For her, the presence of both parents at important milestones in her daughter’s life is fundamental for her to grow up emotionally healthy and secure.
Finally, the driver emphasized that this type of cohabitation should be an example for other separated parents. “Children need both male and female figures,” she concluded, reaffirming that the love and stability of children should always be above any personal differences.
