Italian singer Laura Pausini, one of the most influential and listened to artists worldwide, marks a key moment in her career with the release of “Io Canto 2”, available from February 6, 2026. The project comes 20 years after the success of the original album and represents a conscious return to the songs and authors that have defined her artistic identity, now with a broader look at the international market, especially Brazil and the Latin world.
The premiere coincides with another important milestone: Pausini’s participation in the Opening Ceremony of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, held at the iconic San Siro stadium, reinforcing her role as Italy’s cultural ambassador to the world.
Music as an act of cultural resistance

For Laura Pausini, Io Canto 2 is not only an album of covers, but a declaration of principles.
The artist explained that, in a global context marked by tensions and divisions, music remains a powerful tool to unite.
She defines herself as a “Joan of Arc without armor”.
Armed only with her voice and microphone, she defends the beauty of art as a profoundly human and transformative act.
This approach makes the album more than nostalgia: it is a reaffirmation of the cultural value of music in complex times.
Brazil and Latin America, protagonists of the project

One of the highlights of the album is the reinterpretation of “Quem de Nós Dois”, a Portuguese version of “La mia storia tra le dita”.
Recorded with Ana Carolina and with the participation of Ferrugem, integrating the spirit of Brazilian pagode.
The collaboration symbolizes Laura Pausini’s deep bond with Brazil, one of the countries where her music has had the greatest impact.
The album also pays tribute to Tribalistas with “Já Sei Namorar”, celebrating the cultural crossover between Italy and Brazil, and to Madonna with a version of “La isla bonita”, broadening the musical dialogue towards global pop.

An ambitious tour with two different repertoires and visual productions depending on the language and market.
In Latin America, a single presentation in Brazil has already been confirmed for February 27, 2027 at the Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu in São Paulo.
