Attack in Iran: at least 15 dead after Israel and U.S. bombing of sports pavilion.

One of the Israeli and U.S. strikes on Iran hit a sports hall in the southern Iranian city of Lamerd, killing at least 15 people, local authorities reported.

Attack in Lamerd hits residential areas

The attack hit several residential areas in the city of Lamerd, Fars province, Iran, including a sports hall, two residential areas and a schoolyard.

“Unfortunately, so far 15 citizens have died.”

“Undoubtedly, the number of dead will be more than 15 and the number of injured is also very high,” said the governor of Lamerd, in statements reported by the Mehr news agency.

Some of those killed could be minors, as there were children playing in the courtyard at the time of the attack, Iran’s Fars news agency detailed.

The Iranian government has not yet provided an official death toll from the attacks carried out by Israel and the United States in Iran on Saturday.

However, these 15 deaths confirmed by authorities in the Lamerd attack in Iran are in addition to the 85 confirmed by local authorities in the Israeli attack on a girls’ elementary school in the southern city of Minab.

Early this morning, Israel and the United States launched attacks against Iran and explosions were reported in Tehran and other cities, such as Tabriz (northwest) and Isfahan (center).

The Iranian regime responded by launching missiles and drones against U.S. military bases in Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

And military centers in Israeli territory, as reported by the Revolutionary Guards.

Israel launched a new wave of attacks this afternoon with bombardments against missile launchers in Iran, whose explosions have been felt in the capital and other areas of the country.
