Serena Williams is back in action: she will compete in the Queen’s Doubles

American Serena Williams, winner of 23 Grand Slam titles, will return to professional tennis at the age of 44 after confirming her participation in the Queen’s doubles tournament.

The winner of 23 Grand Slam titles has not played a match since September 2022, when she lost to Australian Ajla Tomljanović in the third round of the U.S. Open. Williams will compete in the London tournament alongside 19-year-old Canadian Victoria Mboko, thanks to an invitation from the organization.

After completing the six-month period required by anti-doping regulations, the American is now cleared to return to the circuit.
