Each race is divided into 3 stages.

At the end of each stage, the best drivers receive points.

During the regular season, drivers accumulate points.

The top 16 enter a playoff system, which works by elimination.

The final winner is decided in the last race of the year, among the 4 finalists.

The champion is not only the one who races the most, but also the one who is the most consistent all season long.

What do the flags mean in NASCAR?

🟢 Green: Start or restart of the race.

🟡 Yellow: Caution (due to accident or debris).

🔴 Red: Race stopped.

⚪ White: Last lap.

🏁 Pictures: End of stroke.

⚫ Black: Penalty or disqualification.

Flags are the visual language of the track. Learning them will make you feel part of the game.

What happens if there are crashes? Are pilots eliminated?

Not necessarily. If a car crashes but is able to continue, the team repairs it quickly.

They are only left out if the damage is too severe or if they do not meet the “speed minimum”.

What about teams? Is each driver on his own? No. Drivers are usually part of teams, as in F1.

Each team has: Drivers, Crew Chiefs, Engineers and Pit Crew.

Teamwork is key to every technical stop, strategy and result.
