The 2025 NFL regular season will kick off on September 4 with a classic showdown: the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles will host their historic rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, at home in the opening game of Week 1, which will be broadcast on NBC in primetime.
>This will be the first opening day matchup between the two teams since 2000, when Andy Reid’s Eagles crushed the Cowboys 41-14 at Texas Stadium.
According to ESPN Research data, none of the 19 players newly selected by both franchises in the April 2025 draft had been born by then. The rivalry between the Eagles and Cowboys, both members of the NFC East, is one of the most exciting in the league. Last season, Philadelphia won both meetings between the two teams and will be looking to start their title defense with another home victory.
NFL to go to London, Munich and Brazil

In addition to the highly anticipated kickoff between Eagles and Cowboys, the NFL announced its 2025 international schedule, which includes five games outside the United States:
London (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium):
Vikings vs Jets – Oct. 5
Jaguars vs Bears – Oct. 12
Munich (Allianz Arena):
Panthers vs Patriots – Nov. 9
Packers vs Browns – Nov. 16
São Paulo, Brazil (Arena Corinthians):
Eagles vs Seahawks – Sept. 7
The game in Brazil will be the first official regular season game to be played in South America, a milestone in the NFL’s global expansion.
This strategy seeks to connect with international audiences, especially the Latino community, which represents one of the fastest growing audiences.
Key transmissions in 2025

The NFL also confirmed that Peacock will exclusively broadcast the Saturday, Dec. 27 (Week 17) night game.
