In a revealing interview with Adela Micha, Christian Nodal shared that his feelings for Ángela Aguilar emerged earlier than many thought, dating back to 2020 during the pandemic.
The singer detailed that May 13 or 14 of that year was the first time he saw her outside his professional context. Through constant video calls, they shared chats while she was cooking, something that he defined as “very nice… she made me fall in love with her because she was so bloody”.
The distance and silence between 2020 and 2024
This stage marked their first intimate connection, although at the time it existed only at a distance and did not prosper because of their youth and personal fears.
Nodal related that, after those digital encounters, the relationship did not continue. “We ended that relationship, we didn’t talk again, until May 14, 2024,” he said, confirming a period of total silence that extended for four years .
It was on that date that they resumed contact, which eventually led to an emotional reunion.
Spontaneous wedding in Rome after breakup with Cazzu
In the same episode of his life, Nodal ended his relationship with Argentine rapper Cazzu in May 2024 -mother of his daughter Inti- and, a few weeks later, formally began his relationship with Angela.
He revealed that in July 2024 they contracted a spiritual marriage in Rome, unplanned and spontaneous, as legalization was not possible at that time.
“I was flowing with life,” he expressed, and admitted that he fell in love “the same day I broke up” with Cazzu.
Repercussions in networks due to Christian Nodal’s comments
Nodal’s confessions caused a strong impact on social networks and Hispanic media in the U.S., as several internet users pointed out that, according to him, he had feelings for Angela in 2020, while he was still publicly linked to Belinda, to whom he got engaged in May 2021 and separated in February 2022.
