The recognition comes at a key moment. His fifth album, Cosa Nuestra, released in November 2024, celebrates Puerto Rican culture with a powerful narrative that pays homage to Puerto Rican immigrants in New York.

The album debuted at #1 on Apple Music and Spotify, and reached #6 on the Billboard 200. It features high-profile collaborations with Bad Bunny, Romeo Santos and Laura Pausini.

During the announcement, Rauw stated: Cosa Nuestra has been my way of representing my island, my culture and my people… Every beat, every visual, every dance step reflects our Puerto Rican roots.”

He also announced his next project: Cosa Nuestra: Chapter 0, a continuation that promises to deepen his cultural legacy and expand his artistic reach.

Rauw Alejandro will receive the Vision Award at the Hispanic Heritage Awards 2025, a recognition of his musical innovation, cultural roots and global influence.

With his flagship album Cosa Nuestra, and new projects on the horizon, he reaffirms his role as a modern ambassador of Latin music – an inspirational figure for U.S. Hispanics.
