Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny leads the list of finalists for the Billboard Latin Music Awards 2025 with a record 27 nominations, followed by the Mexican regional group Fuerza Regida, with 15, and Puerto Rican Rauw Alejandro, with 14, in an edition that will celebrate its gala on October 23 in Miami (Florida).
Urban music superstar Bad Bunny broke all records for award nominations, with top mentions in the categories of Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Top Latin Album of the Year for his project ‘Debí tirar más fotos’, one of the most listened albums of the year worldwide.
California regional Mexican music group Fuerza Regida also earned nominations for Artist of the Year, Global 200 Artist of the Year and Top Regional Mexican Album of the Year for their work ‘111XPANTIA’.
Puerto Rican Rauw Alejandro is the third artist with the most nominations, including Artist of the Year, Tour of the Year and Top Latin Album of the Year for his album ‘Cosa nuestra’.
Meanwhile, Colombian artist Karol G is the woman with the most nominations, 10 in total, including Global 200 Latin Artist of the Year, Hot Latin Songs Female Artist of the Year and Top Latin Rhythm Album of the Year for ‘Tropicoqueta’.
The same number of mentions has the ‘promise’ of the Mexican regional Tito Double P among which stand out the Artist of the Year, Global 200 Artist of the Year and Top Latin Album of the Year for ‘Incómodo’, a project that also competes in the category Top Regional Mexican Album of the Year.
Tito Double P is followed by his cousin, Mexican Peso Pluma, who with 9 nominations will compete for awards such as Artist of the Year and Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year, Male.
These awards are determined exclusively by performance on Billboard’s weekly charts, and are the truest reflection of an artist’s impact and success, Billboard and Telemundo Television Network said in a statement.
This year more than 70 artists have been recognized in a total of 49 categories that include Latin music genres ranging from Latin Pop to Tropical, Latin Rhythm and Regional Mexican.
Karol G is the most nominated woman

Among the categories most desired by artists, the dispute for Artist of the Year will be between Bad Bunny, Fuerza Regida, Peso Pluma, Rauw Alejandro and Tito Double P, while the finalists for Debut Artist of the Year are Mexican Aleman, California regional Mexican band Clave Especial, Chilean artist FloyyMenor, Colombian singer Kapo and Mexican singer-songwriter Netón Vega.
Also in the running for tour of the year are the Dominican-American band Aventura, Puerto Rican singer Chayanne, Mexico’s Luis Miguel, Rauw Alejandro and Colombia’s Shakira.
In the Global 200 Latin Artist of the Year section, Bad Bunny, Fuerza Regida, Karol G, Netón Vega and Tito Double P will compete.
Bad Bunny leads the nominations in both the Global 200 Latin Song of the Year category, with three mentions, and the Hot Latin Song Song of the Year category, with four, for his tracks ‘Baile inolvidable’, ‘DTMF’, ‘Nuevayol’ and ‘EOO’.
The male finalists for the Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year award are Bad Bunny, Netón Vega, Peso Pluma, Rauw Alejandro and Tito Double P, while the nominees for the award for female artists are Karol G, American Selena Gómez, Shakira, Dominican Yailin La Más Viral and Puerto Rican Young Miko.
In the Top Latin Album of the Year category, the finalists are Bad Bunny’s ‘Debí tirar más fotos’, Netón Vega’s ‘Mi vida mi muerte’, Peso Pluma’s ‘Éxodo’, Rauw Alejandro’s ‘Cosa Nuestra’ and Tito Double P’s ‘Incómodo’.
These awards are part of the closing ceremony of Billboard’s Latin Music Week, which will take place in Miami from October 20 to 24, where other special awards will also be presented, reported Agencia EFE.
