Singer DannyLux presented this Thursday a billboard in which he reflects on his experience as the son of immigrants who were undocumented, and dedicates his recent Latin Grammy nomination to them.
“My parents gave up everything so that we could have everything. Today they are also Latin Grammy nominees,” reads the billboard placed Thursday on Sunset Avenue, one of the most popular avenues in the city of Los Angeles. In addition to the message, the billboard shows a photo of the singer of Mexican descent as a baby with his family.
Second consecutive nomination

In September, DannyLux received his second consecutive Latin Grammy Award nomination in the category of Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album, thanks to his album ‘Leyenda’.
The singer competes alongside artists such as Iván Cornejo, with his album ‘Mirada’; Grupo Firme, with ‘Evolución’; Tito Double P, with ‘Incómodo’; or Carin León, with ‘Palabra De To’s (Seca)’.
DannyLux’s announcement comes at a tense time for the migrant community in California.
Affected by President Donald Trump’s immigration policy and the massive raids that have intensified in the state since last June.
