Chamba combines elements of Afrobeats with Latin pop, in a fresh and danceable sound.

According to Hamilton’s press team, the song seeks to exalt the idea of destiny in love: “its contagious rhythm and lyrics that exalt complicity and faith in destiny” are its main calling cards.

In one of the stanzas it appears: “Baby, if we are together, in the same world, it was because God did his work”.

In addition, the official video of Chamba is now available on YouTube, with the visual participation of the three artists.

For Hamilton, this single represents the end of the AfroRockstar era, his musical debut, and seeks to leave an emotional mark on his catalog.

His musical style fuses Afro-Colombian rhythms, champeta, urban pop and afrobeats to build his own proposal between the Caribbean and the global.

AfroRockstar was launched at Spotify House in Bogota, in an intimate event that brought together collaborators, press and fans.

In interviews, Hamilton has said that the album was conceived with a very personal approach, in which he sought to break the mold and showcase his versatility, without submitting to the pressure of fitting into strict genres.

Even before this release, Hamilton had been gaining traction with singles and urban collaborations.

With Chamba, it ups the ante, betting on the Latin-African crossover that has been so successful in international markets.

Mau and Ricky: the perfect match

The Venezuelan duo Mau y Ricky (Mauricio and Ricardo Reglero Rodríguez) has a consolidated trajectory in Latin pop.

They are sons of singer Ricardo Montaner and brothers of Evaluna, and have composed hits for themselves and other Latin artists.

They recently released the EP La Llave, which was presented as the closing of the stage initiated with their album Hotel Caracas (2024).

This project incorporates collaborations with Elena Rose, Danny Ocean, Boza, ROBI, Yorghaki, among others, and explores new emotional and sonic facets of the duo.

In La Llave the Montaner brothers “renew their connection to their Venezuelan roots” while expanding their artistic identity.

For many fans, Mau y Ricky bring to the single Chamba their melodic character, their experience in international collaborations and their Latin heart that is felt in every note.

What’s next for artists?

Hamilton announced a national tour of Colombia to promote AfroRockstar.

Dates include Barranquilla, Medellin, Bogota and other cities between November and December.

In addition, internationalization plans have already been speculated, with possible presentations in the U.S. and Europe by 2026.

For fans living in the United States, this collaboration may mark a stronger gateway for Hamilton into the Latin market there.

If you are interested in looking for concerts, streaming platforms or international tickets, it is a good time to keep an eye on their official networks.
