The 2025 United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas (Austin, Texas) marked a key day for the 2025 Formula 1 season. Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen won from pole position and led the race from start to finish, considerably closing the gap to the championship leaders.

In this race, championship leader Oscar Piastri (McLaren) finished fifth; teammate Lando Norris took second place, allowing Piastri to retain the lead but with a smaller margin.

Oscar Piastri (McLaren) – 346 points
2. Lando Norris (McLaren) – 332 points
3. Max Verstappen (Red Bull) – 306 points

As far as the constructors’ championship is concerned, McLaren has already secured the title, with a wide lead that makes it unattainable for its rivals.
