During the Billboard Latin Music Awards 2025 ceremony held at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Telemundo officially unveiled the world premiere of “Somos Más,” the song that will serve as the theme song for its exclusive coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup™.

The launch of the song marked one of the most anticipated moments of the gala, combining the passion for Latin music with the energy of soccer, two universes that share a deep connection with Hispanic audiences.

The song “Somos Más” brings together four artists from different generations and musical styles: Colombia’s Carlos Vives, Argentina’s Emilia, Puerto Rico’s Wisin and Mexico’s Xavi. This collaboration reflects the cultural diversity of the continent and symbolizes the union of the host countries of the next World Cup – the United States, Mexico and Canada – under the same message of unity and celebration.

Telemundo announced that the song will be officially launched on digital platforms in the coming weeks and will become the official anthem of the network’s coverage during the 2026 World Cup, which will be played in the summer of next year.

The live premiere of “Somos Más” was one of the most vibrant moments of the gala. The joint performance of the four artists combined Latin rhythms, urban pop and tropical fusions, accompanied by a stage production full of color, lights and visual elements inspired by the symbolism of soccer.

The presentation captured the energy, passion and unity that define both Latin music and the spirit of the World Cup, marking the official start of Telemundo’s journey into its coverage of the tournament.

In statements following the premiere, the performers highlighted the song’s inclusive and multicultural message.

Somos Más is more than a great song, it is a powerful message without borders. Each one represents their flag, but the biggest flag is the flag of unity and respect,” said Wisin, highlighting the purpose of the collaboration.

For his part, Carlos Vives explained the intention to represent the entire continent: “We wanted to create a song that represented all of us: the three host countries of the World Cup and the many generations united by soccer. With Wisin’s energy, Emilia’s style and Xavi’s fresh sound, Somos Más celebrates our shared spirit, our languages and the power of music to unite us.”

Singer Emilia called her participation one of the most significant moments of her career: “Being part of this project is truly a dream. It is an honor to represent our Latino community and to join such incredible artists in something so powerful and unforgettable.”

Meanwhile, Xavi, one of the revelation artists of contemporary Mexican music, highlighted the universality of the message: “Although we come from different worlds, we are united by a single passion: soccer. That’s what the song is about: connection, unity and the power of the game to bring us together.”

In addition to the music launch, Telemundo announced details of its record-breaking coverage for the 2026 FIFA World Cup™, which will feature 104 matches in total, of which 92 will be broadcast by Telemundo and 12 by Universo.

This will be the most men’s World Cup matches broadcast by a single network in U.S. history, regardless of language.

All matches will be available live on Peacock and the Telemundo app, with complete coverage from each stadium. The network will also offer extended segments before, during and after each game, as well as exclusive content on all of its digital and social platforms.

With “Somos Más,” Telemundo takes the first step towards the 2026 World Cup, reaffirming its commitment to celebrate Latino diversity, talent and passion. The song, performed by Carlos Vives, Emilia, Wisin and Xavi, will not only be the official anthem of the World Cup coverage, but also a statement of unity and cultural pride that will accompany millions of fans during the most anticipated sporting event on the planet.
