The hero of the night for LAFC was Nathan Ordaz (born in California and selected by El Salvador).

He pushed home a loose ball after Denis Bouanga’s shot in the 79th minute.

There was a review for possible offside, but the goal was upheld and LAFC took the series lead.

For Latino fans in the U.S., Ordaz’s goal reinforces the impact of Hispanic talent in MLS.
