The Derbez family is usually at the center of media attention, whether for their professional projects, their public appearances or their personal statements. On this occasion, attention turned to Alessandra Rosaldo, singer of the duo Sentidos Opuestos and wife of Eugenio Derbez, after social media users revived some statements in which she spoke openly about an experience that marked her life: having been the victim of an alleged act of witchcraft.
It was in an interview conducted in 2023 when Rosaldo related that she faced one of the most complicated stages of her life due to what she described as a “burial”, a term that in witchcraft practices refers to a ritual in which objects or symbols associated with a person are buried in order to negatively affect them.
The artist explained that as a result of that episode she began to experience a bad streak that lasted more than a year, in which she faced constant accidents and health problems.
Rosaldo explained that the incidents were recurrent and, in some cases, very serious. “I also had a terrible streak, what happened to me was that I had accidents all the time. The fall of the bailada, which was very hard, could have been a terrible tragedy, I could have been paralyzed… During that time, which was about a year or a year and a half, many things happened to me: I was run over in New York, I fell, many accidents, continuous physical things”, the performer recalled.
These episodes not only affected his physical well-being, but also his emotional and personal peace of mind, as he felt that the mishaps were too constant to be considered a coincidence.
Alessandra Rosaldo and the search for spiritual help

Faced with the situation, Alessandra decided to go to an expert in cleansing and spirituality to try to break what she considered to be a negative energy that was marking her life.
In her account, she shared a moment that was especially significant: “There was a moment when I did feel as if a breath was coming out that was not mine… But I do believe that these things (witchcraft) exist”.
For Rosaldo, the experience was not only liberating, but it marked a before and after in her life, helping her to regain confidence and leave behind that stage of constant stumbling.
Alessandra’s statements add to the long list of anecdotes and confessions that make the Derbez family one of the most talked about in the entertainment industry in Mexico and the United States. With programs such as De viaje con los Derbez and their multiple individual projects, Eugenio, Alessandra and their children have learned to share intimate and personal moments with the public that generate conversation.
In this case, Alessandra Rosaldo’s story not only opened the debate about the existence of witchcraft, but also about how these experiences can have a profound impact on a person’s life.
