Five months after becoming a mother, Ana Brenda Contreras is ready to resume her television career. The Mexican actress, known for her participation in successful telenovelas such as La que no podía amar, Corazón indomable and Por amar sin ley, returns to the big screen as part of the starring cast of the new season of ¿Quién es la máscara, a show that will air on Sundays on Univision starting October 12.
The actress will share the panel of investigators with Anahí, Carlos Rivera and Juanpa Zurita, who week after week will try to discover the identities of the celebrities hiding behind the colorful costumes of the popular reality show.
During the official presentation of the program to the media, Ana Brenda expressed her enthusiasm for returning to such a dynamic and fun project after her recent maternity. “I’m happy, I feel like a little girl in an amusement park. Having a project in which you do what you love but also have fun -because I’m really laughing my head off- is a gift,” she said with a laugh.
The actress also revealed that the atmosphere on the set has been one of complete camaraderie, although sometimes the show’s producer has to remind them to concentrate, as the level of fun is usually high among the investigators. “Suddenly our producer scolds us a little bit because we are having a lot of fun, but the truth is that we are having an incredible time,” she added.
Ana Brenda shared that the reunion with her colleagues in the program has been very special. “Many of them I was fortunate enough to already know and call friends. With Anahí, for example, we have worked together since we were young, but we had never worked together. Now, to do it at this age, being both mothers and in a more mature stage, has been something divine,” she explained.
The actress emphasized that the atmosphere of camaraderie among the researchers is reflected on screen and she is confident that the audience will perceive that positive energy. “I hope it is noticed and transmitted on the screen, which I’m sure it will be,” she said excitedly.
Ana Brenda Contreras: From contestant to researcher

Curiously, Ana Brenda is no stranger to ¿Quién es la máscara? In the previous season, she participated as a contestant under one of the masked characters, experience that she now considers an advantage to perform as an investigator.
“I get to be on this side when I was in character last season, and I think I empathize with everyone. When I see them, I feel like I can spot things that maybe my co-stars miss,” he confessed. “I’m hoping to spot some of them, hopefully that helps,” he added humorously.
The actress also spoke honestly about the challenge of returning to work with a baby just five months old. “Definitely my job is something that makes me feel complete. It’s very important to me,” she said.
Ana Brenda acknowledged that her return to television has been possible thanks to the support of her family and husband, as well as a trusted person who helps her take care of her daughter. “Of course I speak to you from the privilege that I have a team that supports me: my mom, my husband and someone I trust. Without that, it would be impossible for me to do what I love,” she explained.
Despite the support, the actress confessed that the temporary separation from her daughter is difficult for her: “She’s at a stage where if I don’t see her for eight hours, I feel she’s grown up. I arrive and say: ‘She’s already growing a little tooth!’. But I try to be with her as much as I can when I’m not working,” she shared tenderly.
For Ana Brenda, motherhood and career are not opposite paths, but complementary. “I’m enjoying it and I want my baby to grow up seeing a fulfilled mom, who likes what she does,” she assured.
The actress also thanked the program’s production for providing her with all the facilities to balance her personal and professional life. “The production has been divine. They have been very supportive, and that makes it possible for me to enjoy the work without guilt,” she concluded.
With this new stage, Ana Brenda Contreras proves that motherhood can go hand in hand with a solid career, and that her return to television not only represents an artistic rebirth, but also a tribute to her ability to reinvent herself and continue to shine, now with a new role: that of mother and full professional.
