Andrés Felipe Martínez, born in Cali on July 3, 1962, is a renowned Colombian actor with an extensive career in national television.
He studied at the Escuela Nacional de Arte Dramático (ENAD) and participated in numerous successful productions such as Pedro el escamoso, Las aguas mansas, La mujer en el espejo, La saga, negocio de familia, Victorinos and Narcos. However, his most memorable role is that of Malcolm Ríos, the scheming butler in the telenovela Pasión de Gavilanes.
Emigration to the United States and new challenges

In 2021, facing economic and personal difficulties, including a divorce, Martinez decided to emigrate to the United States in search of better opportunities to support her three children: Pablo, Isabella and Gabriel.
Initially, she worked as a house cleaner and later worked for a shipping company in Miami, delivering packages and groceries.
Adaptation was not easy. Martinez has shared that, at times, she had to sleep on the floor to save money and that loneliness away from her family has been one of the biggest emotional challenges.
Andres Felipe Martinez: doing everything for his children

The actor said he is grateful to have money to be able to send to his children: “receiving a check every 15 days, that is priceless. Thanks to that I can send money and feed my children, and that is worth more than anything else”.
He assured that he is not hurt by the fact that he is no longer recognized in the world of acting, something he has not thought of leaving: “The truth is that my ego does not hurt because I am doing what I need to do to help my children. And that is more valuable than any fame or recognition”.
Hopes to return to acting

Despite the difficulties, Martinez has not abandoned his passion for acting.
She has participated in small theatrical projects and continues to look for casting opportunities, hoping to resume her artistic career in the future.
