In the midst of the family controversy involving Alicia Villarreal, her current partner Cibad Hernández, her ex-husband Arturo Carmona and their common daughter Melenie Carmona, the actor decided to come out again to clarify his position. Carmona reiterated that he has not interfered in his ex’s personal life, as she has publicly assured, and stressed that the only thing he is involved in is his daughter’s life, whom he said he defends “above all else”.
Arturo’s statements come after Melenie made an En Vivo on social networks, where she acknowledged that she currently maintains a distance with her mother and admitted that she does not like Alicia’s new partner, influencer Cibad Hernandez.
For a long time, Melenie had kept out of the legal conflict between her mother and her stepfather, Cruz Martínez, whom Villarreal has accused of alleged violence. However, in recent days she decided to speak publicly and explained that, although she supports her mother, she does consider Cruz part of her family, and that her current priority is to take care of her relationship with her siblings, without hurting them.
Melenie was also very clear in saying that supporting her mother does not mean applauding all her decisions, and gave as an example her disagreement with Alicia’s romance with Cibad Hernández. This stance was supported by Arturo Carmona, who insisted that his daughter has the right to express what she feels without being judged or attacked.

“I believe my daughter 100%,” says Arturo Carmona.
Arturo was categorical in assuring that the only version he trusts is Melenie’s: “I believe my daughter 100%, that’s why I defend her”.
He said he was not moved by the tears Alicia shed at one of her concerts, when she publicly asked to stop the hate and cyber attacks against his daughter. For him, what matters is not whether or not he believes in what she expresses on stage, but what his daughter has lived and dragged for a long time, many of those things out of the public eye.
Carmona stressed that Melenie is not a liar, and regretted seeing her on En Vivo with gestures of helplessness, weariness and sadness. She assured that her daughter is tired of bearing the burden of constant attacks and that she decided to defend herself publicly because she could no longer remain silent.
Criticism of the lack of defense and bullying against Melenie

Without going into specific details, the actor pointed out that there are very delicate family situations that will probably never be made public, but that Alicia knows about. In that sense, he said he does not understand why, knowing everything his daughter has been through, he does not defend her more firmly.
“What I can’t get over is that we don’t stand up for our daughter, that family things that really matter we don’t give them the attention that matters,” she said.
Carmona also condemned the bullying that Melenie is receiving on social networks and described as incorrect that Pati Chapoy has called her attention on Ventaneando without knowing the situation in depth. Even so, she maintained that her daughter is doing well, emotionally strong and aware of who is really by her side.
While Alicia has publicly warned that, if Arturo continues “meddling in her life,” she could request a restraining order against him, Carmona responded by pointing out what he considers an incongruity: that a person who, he claimed, raped his daughter has continued to be part of the singer’s close team for a long time, something he and Melenie have disapproved of for years.
Finally, Arturo questioned the fact that Alicia is being presented as a victim in this story: “Yes, someone who is not a victim in many ways is being victimized; by this I do not mean that she is lying or not in her things”, he pointed out.
In doing so, she made it clear that, regardless of the nuances of the conflict, her priority will remain the same: to protect and support her daughter Melenie, both privately and in the public eye.
