Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny concluded his residency “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí” at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, in San Juan, facing a physical setback that worried his fans.
During the last performance of the concert series, the performer suffered a knee injury while moving around the stage. The incident forced him to leave the stage momentarily, showing clear signs of pain, although shortly after he managed to rejoin the stage and continue with the show.
According to recordings shared on social networks, the mishap occurred when Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, was on stage performing one of his songs. The images show how the artist went from moving normally to abruptly bending his right leg, which made him scream and leave the stage immediately.
Fans captured the moment from different angles and quickly spread it on platforms such as TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), where the videos went viral and generated concern among both the public and the event’s production.
The response from the audience was immediate. Aware that their idol was going through a complicated moment, the audience gave him a standing ovation with applause and shouts of encouragement as he tried to overcome the pain. A few minutes later, Bad Bunny returned to the stage and insisted on finishing the show, demonstrating once again his commitment to his fans.
Although his discomfort was evident, the artist managed to complete the presentation, turning the night into a mixture of emotion, concern and resilience.
Bad Bunny sweeps his homeland

The incident did not overshadow the achievement of this residency in his homeland. With 30 sold-out concerts, “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí” became the first formal residency of Bad Bunny’s career and an event of great cultural relevance for Puerto Rico.
The series of presentations began on July 11, 2025 and lasted several weeks, offering a show that brought together music, culture and a variety of special guests.
Among the celebrities who took the stage were Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Austin Butler, Jon Hamm and Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin, who shared memorable moments with the reguetonero.
Beyond local success, the residency attracted the attention of international media. Academic Vanessa Diaz, a professor at Loyola Marymount University, was quoted by The Economist as highlighting Bad Bunny’s ability to innovate and set trends: “We never know what to expect…. He doesn’t follow trends. He sets them.
His words reflect the artist’s impact on the global music industry, where he has established himself as one of the most influential figures in the urban genre.
With this residency completed, Bad Bunny is preparing to embark on one of the most ambitious international tours for a Latin singer-songwriter, which will take him to several countries and continents.
The closing in Puerto Rico, although marked by the knee incident, reaffirmed his bond with the local audience and made it clear that, even in the face of adversity, the artist prioritizes the connection with his followers.
