In Montgomery County, Texas, two sisters were arrested for their alleged involvement in the physical and sexual abuse of a 12-year-old girl, who showed multiple injuries and signs of malnutrition.
As reported by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, on September 28, 2025, deputies responded to a call regarding a minor who reported being abused. The child was transported to a hospital for medical attention.
Brenda Garcia and Tania Garcia are accused of the worst

During the investigation, authorities identified Brenda Garcia, 38, and Tania Garcia, 37, as the main suspects.
According to the report, the abuse allegedly occurred at the home of Brenda Garcia, who is also accused of having taken photographs of the minor.
The victim reported being beaten with belts, cables and sticks.
He further stated that she was tied up, cut with scissors and strangled.
Court documents indicate that the mistreatment allegedly began in March.
The girl claimed that Brenda Garcia suffocated her by placing a belt around her neck until she could no longer breathe.
Mistreatment began in March

According to abc13 reports, the child’s biological mother lives in another country, so the girl was in the care of an uncle in Houston.
According to the agents, the girl asked Brenda Garcia for help, as her daughter knew the uncle with whom the minor was living.
Brenda allegedly took the child to live with her sister, Tania Garcia, in March 2025.
It was then, according to court documents, that the two began to physically abuse her.
Investigators reported that the minor managed to free herself from her restraints and escape from the home on September 30.
At that time, she was located with an infected head wound and multiple injuries on her body.
According to agents, the Department of Children and Family Services (CPS) intervened in the case.
However, when they searched for the girl, Brenda Garcia stated that the child had moved back to Honduras with her mother.
During an interview with detectives, Brenda Garcia denied committing any crime and claimed the girl was making up the abuse allegations, according to case documents.
Regarding possible additional arrests, a representative from the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office indicated that the investigation remains open and that they are unable to provide further information at this time to protect the integrity of the case.
