Cristiano Ronaldo revealed that his retirement from soccer will be “soon” and “hard” for him, although he said he feels prepared for when the time comes in an interview with British presenter Piers Morgan aired on Tuesday.
“Can you imagine retiring?” the journalist asked him, to which the Portuguese star replied with a brief “yes,” and then added that it will be “soon.”
He opens up about his retirement

“But I think I will be ready, it will be hard, it will be difficult, yes, I will probably cry,” the former Real Madrid and Manchester United player continued.
Cristiano Ronaldo said he has been preparing for his future since he was about 25 years old, so he believes he will be “able to handle the pressure” when the time comes.
He also confessed that nothing can ever give him as much joy as soccer and assured that “nothing compares to the adrenaline of scoring a goal”.
The Portuguese attacker, however, was convinced that “everything has a beginning and an end”.
He noted that when he retires he will have more time for other things, especially his family.
He speaks of his fortune and simple life

The interview, recorded in Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘man cave’ at his home in Saudi Arabia, as Morgan defined it, revolved around several topics.
Among them is the footballer’s recent entry into the billionaires’ club, the first in his sport to do so.
Cristiano Ronaldo assured that he does not like spending money on expensive things and that he is a “normal” person.
He then recalled that he bought a high-end car a few days ago and was undecided about how many vehicles he owns, although he believes he owns about 41.
CR7 reflects on soccer

When asked about a player he has followed in the last 20 or 30 years, Cristiano Ronaldo replied that he does not usually follow footballers.
“I watch games, the players (…) I watch, for example, Brazil, because they have many players, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaká; I watch Argentina because of the players they have; I watch Spain…”, he enumerated.
They also recalled Morgan’s famous interview with him at the end of 2022 that precipitated his departure from Manchester United, recalling that “he was right” on all the issues he raised at the time.
Both agreed that the club’s problems are still present and ruled out winning the Premiership this season.
