After 18 years at the helm of the popular show Caso Cerrado ( 2001-2019) on Telemundo, Cuban-American lawyer Ana María Polo has decided to fully enjoy her retirement. Through her social networks, she remains connected with her audience, sharing moments of tranquility and happiness in her new life away from the set.

Recently, she posted a photo from Fairchild Gardens, in Miami, where she poses with her brothers in front of a dinosaur exhibit. Comments like “Moments like this are treasures for the heart” or “”Beautiful as always… Greetings to your brothers” reflect the warmth of her followers.

In an interview with journalist Lourdes Del Río, as part of the podcast En Positivo, Polo discussed the possibility of re-recording Caso Cerrado.

Although she does not rule it out, she made it clear that she would only do it if the ideal conditions are present: to have a production team that understands her and allows her to replicate the original essence of the program. “I never say no because I don’t know. If the conditions were perfect…” she commented, referring to the bond she had for almost two decades with her team.

He stressed that economic attractiveness is not a decisive factor. With pride, he explained that he leads a comfortable life thanks to his financial prudence: “I earned well, I worked hard, I saved a lot, I did not buy airplanes or houses in the Dominican Republic, or Madrid, or Colorado”. He added: “My tastes are satisfied with what I have. That is not the stimulus to do television again”.

In addition to resting, Polo has recently explored new artistic facets. She is involved in a play entitled Antes que me Maten, based on host Javier Ceriani, which premiered in Los Angeles and will tour cities such as Miami, Las Vegas and New York. She also expressed interest in taking on a dramatic role on the big screen.

Ana María Polo is living a retirement full of peace and gratitude, sharing daily moments with her family and exploring new artistic projects. Although Caso Cerrado was her television legacy, she would only consider a return if the ideal conditions exist, and in no case for economic motivations. This leisurely pace offers an inspiring model of real life and balance for the U.S. Hispanic community.
