Aaron Judge, with a three-run home run, gave the Yankees another chance to stay alive against the Blue Jays on Tuesday in the Major League Baseball (MLB) playoffs.
While the Mariners are one win away from advancing to the American League Championship Series.
Yankees 8-6 Blue Jays

Aaron Judge hit a three-run homer and Jazz Chisholm Jr. hit a home run for the Yankees.
They came from behind to beat the Blue Jays and stay alive in the MLB American League Divisional Series.
The Blue Jays, who came out looking to end the best-of-five matchup, took a 1-6 lead in the game.
This after Dominican Vladimir Guerrero Jr. started the game with his third home run of the series, a two-run home run in the first inning.
They continued to attack in the third act with a four-run rally, capped by a two-run single by Venezuela’s Anthony Santander.
The Yankees, who had scored a run in the bottom of the first, cut into their deficit by scoring twice in the third inning on Judge’s double.
As well as Geancarlo Stanton’s sacrifice fly, which set the stage for ‘the Judge’ to dictate the sentence in the fourth chapter.
Judge’s home run turns the tide of the game
Judge, who reached the batter’s box with one out and two men on base, was able to connect on a pitch from reliever Louis Varland, which hit the left field pole.
To his credit, he hit a three-run homer to tie the game and turn the tide for the Yankees.
Chisholm Jr. hit a home run in the fifth inning to put the Yankees ahead.
Dominican Austin Wells had a run batted in and compatriot Amed Rosario scored.
Cuban Carlos Rodón started for the Yankees and left the game after 2.1 innings in which six runs were scored.
Giving way to the reliever, who held off the Blue Jays’ bats the rest of the way.
Among them were Puerto Rican Fernando Cruz, who struck out three in 1.1 blank episodes, and Dominican Camilo Doval, with one blank episode.
The Yankees (1-2), who lost the first two games in Toronto, will look to tie this MLB series on Wednesday when they face the Blue Jays again at Yankee Stadium.
Tigers 4-8 Mariners

Venezuelan Eugenio Suarez, J.P. Crawford and Cal Raleigh sent the ball out of the park to support Logan Gilbert’s dominant outing.
The Mariners moved within one win of clinching the MLB National League Divisional Series by defeating the Tigers.
Suarez homered in the third inning, snapping a 17-0 string with the bat in the postseason.
Crawford, who finished with two hits and two RBIs, sent the ball into the stands in the sixth inning.
Raleigh, who led the regular series with 60 home runs, secured the Mariners’ lead with his two-run home run in the ninth inning.
Latinos shine in Mariners’ win
Cuban Randy Arozarena scored and drove in a run and Dominican Victor Robles had a run scored to contribute to the Mariners’ success.
The Tigers responded by scoring three times in the ninth inning.
But Mexico’s Andres Muñoz stepped to the mound and overpowered Dillon Dingler with a fly ball to left field.
As well as Parker Meadows with a double-elimination hit to end the game.
The fourth game of this best-of-five MLB series will be played Wednesday at Comerica Park in Detroit.
