Puerto Rican merenguero Elvis Crespo announced Monday that he will perform with his ‘Bodega Tour 2025: El Barrio Canta’ in August and September in taverns and businesses in Latino communities in several cities in Puerto Rico and the United States.
Crespo, known internationally for hits such as ‘Suavemente’, ‘Píntame’ and ‘Tu sonrisa’, kicked off this innovative tour on Monday with a show at the Raysa Market in San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico, in his homeland.
The Grammy, Latin Grammy and multiple Billboard Award-winning artist will make surprise visits to “iconic wineries” in cities such as New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Connecticut, Chicago and Los Angeles.
The singer indicated that each performance will be revealed days before through Elvis Crespo’s social networks and the media.
Elvis Crespo’s Tour to Honor Latinos

For Crespo, this tour represents an act of recognition to the winery as a symbol of immigrant entrepreneurship and a point of connection for the Latino community through music.
According to the renowned merenguero in a press release, the idea for this tour began when he filmed his three most recent videos ‘Luna Llena’, ‘Me Mataron’ and ‘Borrón y Cuenta Nueva’ in Dominican businesses with the intention of capturing the daily life of these spaces.
Crespo released his latest album ‘Poeta herío’ on June 6 and sold out his June 21 concert at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan.
His hit ‘Suavemente’ is part of the history of popular music for being the first tropical song to enter Billboard Magazine’s ‘Hot Latin Song’ chart in 1998.
It is also the title of Elvis Crespo’s first solo album, reported Agencia EFE, for which he was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Tropical Latin Album.
