The Aguilar family name is once again at the center of controversy. This time, Pepe Aguilar’s eldest son, Emiliano Aguilar, decided to speak without filters about his distant relationship with his father.
Through a video on Instagram, she assured that the estrangement was not her own decision, as the singer has insinuated in recent interviews, but the result of a relationship marked by indifference and lack of communication.
“I come here to say my things as I feel and my truths. I just saw my dad’s interview and the truth is that I’m sick and tired of him saying that I’m the one who didn’t look for him,” he said in an annoyed tone.
In his account, Emiliano detailed that for years he tried to get closer to his father with messages and videos in which he shared aspects of his daily life as a construction and plumbing worker in the United States. “Every morning and every night I would send him: ‘Good morning, apá, I love you very much. ‘Good night, apá, I love you very much.’ He never answered me,” she recounted.
Given the lack of response, she confessed that she decided to stay away for her emotional health: “I’d better not say anything to her, because it’s much better for me to be mentally well… instead of sending her messages, sending her messages and she doesn’t answer me. It really hurts, it really hurts that mother”.

Although he did not directly address the issue of the granddaughters, Emiliano reproached his father for talking about them in public: “That vato has no right to talk about my daughter on the Internet. You don’t even know her, man, how are you going to talk about her if you don’t even know her,” he questioned.
His words were a response to a recent interview in which Pepe Aguilar stated that he did not know his granddaughters and that he did not even know of the existence of a second one. “I don’t know my granddaughters. What’s more, I didn’t even know I had another granddaughter. Now I just found out,” said the interpreter of Por mujeres como tú.
In that same conversation, Pepe assured that the estrangement is due to his son: “He doesn’t talk to me because he doesn’t want to, the bastard. That is, he hasn’t spoken to me in two years”. However, he also affirmed that he always wishes him the best: “I’m always cheering for the bastard and I’m always happy when he does well”.
The singer has insisted that he does not close the door to a reconciliation, even sending him a direct advice: “Relax, nothing happens. You keep him in your friega, keep composing him as you compose for him”.
The conflict is not new. Last August, after months of apparent calm, Emiliano again exploded against his father after he accused Carmen Treviño, Emiliano’s mother and Pepe Aguilar’s ex-partner, of having hindered the bond between them.
In addition, Emiliano -who in 2023 ventured into rap- has expressed feeling excluded from the Aguilar dynasty, even accusing some of his half-brothers of holding positions against migrants in the United States, a particularly sensitive issue for him.
Emiliano’s statements show the depth of a relationship fractured by years of silences and resentments. While Pepe Aguilar maintains a discourse of openness, his eldest son maintains that paternal disinterest has led him to protect his emotional well-being. The possibility of a family reunion is still in the air, but for now, the differences seem more exposed than ever.
