Michael Jackson will 'come back to life' in his biopic, starring his nephew Jaafar.

‘Michael,’ the biopic about Michael Jackson directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Jaafar Jackson, the singer’s nephew, will premiere on April 10 in Berlin, where a special multi-day fan event will be held.

The 10th will be the preview of a film that will hit theaters around the world at the end of April, Universal said Monday in a statement.

The premiere will be attended by part of the film’s crew, which includes, in addition to Jackson, performers such as Kendrick Sampson, who plays Quincy Jones; Miles Teller as Jackson’s lawyer and advisor, John Branca; Colman Domingo as the patriarch, Joe Jackson; Nia Long as his mother, Katherine Jackson; Jessica Sula as his sister, LaToya Jackson, and Kat Graham as Diana Ross.

An event that will be the first in a series of fan events that will last several days and for which details have not yet been announced.

Colombian-American (his father is Jermaine Jackson and his mother is Colombian Alejandra Oaziaza), Jaafar Jackson, 29, debuts as an actor in this film and in the first trailer of the film we could see his perfect transformation into his uncle.

Michael’ is “the big-screen portrait of the life and legacy of one of the most influential artists the world has ever known,” Universal said in a statement.

The film shows from the discovery of Michael Jackson’s talent as leader of the Jackson Five to his becoming “a visionary star whose creative ambition sparked a relentless drive to establish himself as the entertainment industry’s greatest icon.”

The script was written by John Logan, three-time Oscar nominee for his work on ‘Gladiator’ (2000), ‘The Aviator’ (‘The Aviator’, 2004) and ‘The Invention of Hugo’ (‘Hugo’, 2011) and is produced by Graham King, statuette winner for ‘The Departed’ (‘The Departed’, 2006), reported Agencia EFE.
