Flamengo of Brazil drew 1-1 against Los Angeles FC on Tuesday, June 24, in the closing match of Group D of the 2025 Club World Cup, in a match held at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. Although the Carioca team had already secured first place in the group, the result allows them to maintain their undefeated record and to reach their Round of 16 match against Bayern Munich with momentum.
Led by Filipe Luís, the Brazilians fielded a lineup with several substitutes, reserving key players such as Gerson and Erick Pulgar. Even so, Flamengo dominated for stretches of the match, although they lacked accuracy, crashing three shots against the posts.
De Arrascaeta shined, but the goal was missing

Uruguayan Giorgian De Arrascaeta, captain of Flamengo, was the most outstanding player of the first half.
He assisted Danilo and then tried his luck with powerful shots, one of which rattled the crossbar of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
Also Pedro, after a defensive error by LAFC, missed a clear option that hit the post.
Despite being already eliminated, Los Angeles FC showed character and defensive order.
With a five-man back line and quick outlets down the flanks, they came close to surprising Flamengo with several set plays, including a shot against the post by Marco Delgado.
Goals in the last minutes

In the 84th minute, Denis Bouanga took advantage of a defensive error by Flamengo and scored with class in front of Rossi to put the Angelinos ahead 1-0.
But the Brazilian team’s reaction was immediate:
