This week on QuéOnnda, we dive into the depths of emotional well-being and mental health. In the most recent episode of the podcast Alquimia Interior, produced by Nueva Network, host Pati Leal invites us to a necessary reflection on the evil of the century: stress. HERE you can listen to the podcast.

With an outstanding career as a therapist and specialist in human consciousness, Pati Leal has established herself as one of the most influential voices in the field of self-knowledge. In this installment, along with specialist Jesús Rosas, she demystifies the idea that all stress is an enemy, teaching us to differentiate between the impulse that moves us and the burden that makes us sick.

For Pati Leal, stress should not be seen simply as something to eliminate, but as a messenger of our body. Jesús Rosas agrees, recalling that this response is natural and evolutionary: since cave times, stress allowed us to flee from predators. The problem in 2026 is that we are no longer fleeing from saber-toothed tigers, but from notifications, debts and a fast-paced life that gives no respite.

Good Stress (Eustress) vs. Chronic Stress (Distress)

How do you know if your stress is healthy?

Experts define it as follows:

The “healthy stress”: It is the one that motivates you, makes you alert and gives you energy to accomplish a goal (such as organizing an event or an important project).

Once the task is accomplished, the body returns to calm.

Chronic stress: It is the one that becomes silent and cumulative.

It’s that office report that never ends, the self-demand to have the latest iPhone or the pressure to never stop.

This type of stress blocks and generates “dents” in the system.

When the body screams: The warning signs

One of the most revealing points of the talk was somatization.

Jesús Rosas explained that when the mouth does not say what it feels, the body shouts it.

“There is no universal ‘stress-o-meter.’ What stresses you doesn’t stress me,” Rosas pointed out.

Common signs that stress has gotten out of control:

Nervous tic: The classic twitching of the eyelid.

Skin problems: Hives, urticaria or unexplained itching.

Sleep disorders: The ruminating mind that does not rest at night “purging” problems.

Irritability: Reacting explosively to minimal situations.

The danger of “self-demanding” and the guilt of resting

Pati Leal brought a deep cultural issue to the table: the guilt of resting.

In a society that rewards being “always on”, stopping is seen as a weakness.

Jesús Rosas shared the shocking case of a patient who, after suffering an accident with a washing machine, refused to have her broken arm checked because “she had to continue working and take care of her children”.

This level of disconnection with physical pain is the most dangerous stage of chronic stress.

Tools to recover peace

To close the episode, Pati and Jesus shared practical keys for 2026:

Mindfulness: Return to the here and now to stop anxiety about the future.

Making peace with technology: The cell phone has gone from being a marvel to a “ballast” that over-stimulates us.

Deep breathing: It was mentioned that a well-executed breath can have the same calming effect as an analgesic.

Emotional education in children: Teaching them to identify what they feel so that they do not grow up normalizing living under stress.

The episode of Alquimia Interior is now available on all audio platforms, such as Apple Podcast and Spotify, where you can also listen to other titles promoted by QuéOnnda and Nueva Network, such as Cambia tu Vida con la Numerología and Astrología Interdimensional.
