Isadora Sofía Figueroa, daughter of Chayanne, told EFE that she is living “the dream” of her life with the release this Thursday of her first album ‘La Isla’, where she expresses her joyful and sentimental duality and her essence with diverse musical rhythms.
“I’m giving thanks every day because I’m living the dream of my life. I’m presenting myself for all that I am, without hiding anything, like getting completely naked in front of the public, metaphorically,” explains the 24-year-old, who is nominated for ‘Best New Artist’ at the Latin Grammy Awards.
Figueroa, born in Florida and who has grown up surrounded by music, assures that it is special for her to be able to share her emotions with the public and divided this 13-track album into two parts, Sun and Moon, to show her cheerful side and her more introspective side.
“I wanted to divide it into the Sun side and the Moon side because I’ve always felt that I’ve always had that duality, where I’m super happy, and partying, and love, and brightness, but I also have a very sentimental side, and I’m very emotional,” confesses the artist who, in addition to her father, has Celia Cruz, Rihanna or Marc Anthony, among others, as references.
“I love to collect vinyl, to feel, to play, to see music as art, I see it as art. So, to be able to create my world with my sound and put it into this record, where I can say today, this is Isadora, sonically, like this,” Figueroa says.
Chayanne’s daughter and her musical proposal: A bilingual album with a variety of rhythms

The singer describes the album as “very special” because it reflects the American and Latin American worlds that have influenced her life.
“I have two songs in English, because I felt that if I’m going to be completely honest, I also have to be honest about putting the sounds I grew up with, and that includes the sound of Puerto Rico, of Venezuela, and also a little bit of here, of Miami,” says the artist, who feels 100% Puerto Rican, Venezuelan, Italian and from Miami.
The album also contains several rhythms and musical genres from the Caribbean and Latin America and Afrobeats. Among them is the track ‘Peace and Love’, which is a reggae, a bolero that she sings with her boyfriend Carlos Santander, ‘El tren’, which is a song dedicated to her grandparents.
“I wanted to make very happy music that feels like an eternal summer. For me this album is like the trunk of the tree and with time, I will have the branches. I would love to make an album that has more salsa on it too,” says Isadora, adding that she would like to sing a song in Italian, to honor the roots of her mother, Venezuelan model Marilisa Maronese.
The singer mentions that she is always writing and, after performing on several stages, she will return to the studio to experiment with more genres such as “salsa, bomba or plena puertorriqueñas and another bolero”.
“I want to know the whole world with my music. I think that in 2026 I hope, God willing, I will make many live performances, festivals as well,” predicts Figueroa, who is open to collaborations with artists she admires such as Bad Bunny or Elena Rose.
“It is a moment where I feel that there will be a before and an after in this stage of my life. And there are many firsts. So, who knows? I have like an open road so that anything can happen after this. I feel happy, grateful, inspired and in love,” she concludes, reported Agencia EFE.
