Italian singer Laura Pausini has re-released the famous song “Mi historia entre tus dedos” (original in Italian “La mia storia tra le dita”), as the first single from her upcoming musical project Yo Canto 2. It is a modern version of Gianluca Grignani’s song, first released in 1994, which Pausini has recorded in multiple languages to reach different audiences.
The song is already available in four languages: Spanish(Mi historia entre tus dedos), Italian(La mia storia tra le dita), French(Mon histoire entre les doigts) and Portuguese(Quem de nós dois). This multilingual bet reflects the international character of Pausini, who seeks to pay tribute to classics that have marked her musical life.
The arrangement of this new version has been produced by Paolo Carta, Laura Pausini’s husband, who has collaborated in much of her career. Pausini has stated that many of these classic Italian songs accompanied her since her beginnings, even when she sang in small bars or piano bars, and that she interprets pieces that, although they were not written for her, she feels as if they belonged to her.
The release of Mi historia entre tus dedos coincides with the announcement of his world tour “Yo Canto World Tour 2026/2027”, which will kick off in Spain on March 27, 2026, in Pamplona, and will continue to Tenerife, Valencia, Barcelona and Madrid, before taking in Latin America, the United States and other European cities.
Laura Pausini launches the video of the song

Along with the song, Pausini released an accompanying video clip; she also gave a first live performance on September 7 during the inauguration of the Laura Pausini Museum in her hometown of Solarolo, Italy. That date coincided with the 30th anniversary of her official fan club.
The media have highlighted that Pausini’s version retains the emotion of the original, but incorporates her characteristic vocal style and a modern treatment in the arrangements, which maintains the melodic essence while giving it her personal stamp.
Yo Canto 2 is an album of covers, something that Pausini already did with Io Canto in 2006, with which she paid homage to classics of Italian song. This new album not only reaffirms her commitment to traditional Italian music, but also positions her as a performer who connects generations, languages and cultures.
Pausing to see these classics through modern eyes, Pausini reaffirms that a song does not lose its relevance if it is interpreted with truth. In addition, this musical strategy reinforces her global presence, where her fans not only value her voice, but also her ability to reinvent repertoires that have been culturally relevant. With more than 30 years of career, millions of records sold and an international fan base, Yo Canto 2 marks a new chapter that promises strong emotions among those who admire her music.
