Legendary Mexican band Los Tigres del Norte will appear in an episode of ‘The Simpsons’ and perform a Mexican corrido written especially for the show, which will air this Sunday on FOX.

“A legendary band. An original song. A very Simpson touch. Los Tigres del Norte will present ‘El Corrido de Pedro y Homero’ this Sunday on FOX,” the official X account of television’s most charismatic family said in a written statement.

The message is accompanied by two images of the emblematic group, which has more than five decades of history, on stage with El Hombre Abeja and Homer Simpson, who wears a Mexican-style sombrero.

Founded in Sinaloa, the regional Mexican band is one of the most influential in Norteño music, portraying in its lyrics the migrant experience, social struggles and life on the U.S.-Mexico border.

The group has also taken a critical stance against the administration of President Donald Trump.

They campaigned for former Vice President Kamala Harris on her path to the White House in the 2024 presidential election.

They have also publicly defended the rights of migrants once the Republican leader came to power.

“Let him (Trump) open his heart and remember that his ancestors also came as migrants to the United States.

“And I believe that a president should have a heart for all races, not just for whites,” the band told EFE during their appearance on the red carpet of the Latin Grammy Awards held last November in Las Vegas.

During the gala, Los Tigres del Norte performed a powerful tribute to immigrants, showing the faces of families and images of the protests that plagued cities like Los Angeles.
