On a decisive night for Hispanic soccer in the United States, Los Angeles FC (LAFC) sealed its place in the next phase of the Major League Soccer(MLS) 2025 Playoffs thanks to a convincing performance against Austin FC.
The Angelino team won 4-1 in Game 2 of the best-of-three first round, ending the series before the decisive game.

The game was headed in the 21st minute when South Korea’s Son Heung min made it 1-0 after a counter-attack and an assist from teammate Denis Bouanga.
Just three minutes later, Bouanga scored with precision after another quick LAFC attack to make it 2-0 and put Austin off their stride.
The 3-0 lead came before halftime, consolidating the victory.
