Music premieres arrive this week with new albums by Arcángel and Herencia de Patrones, celebrating their musical trajectory, and with the sensual rhythms of the first singles of the year by Farruko and Manuel Turizo.

In addition, Codiciado presented a new preview of its new musical stage; Legado 7 offered a new nod to modern regional Mexican with its song ‘7 besos’, and Pedro Capó premiered the official video for ‘Divina’, recorded during a sold-out performance at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico last year.

Arcángel released on Thursday his long awaited album ‘La 8va maravilla’ which celebrates his twenty years of career with twenty songs in which artists such as Daddy Yankee, Ricky Martin or Belee collaborate. The album combines more sober songs, such as ‘Lúcido’ or ‘Lluvia’, with more contagious melodies such as ‘Hoy se guaya’ and ‘Fecha de vencimiento’.

Puerto Rican artist Farruko released his song ‘Ay dale’, a fusion of reggaeton and Panamanian reggae, on behalf of Panamanian singer Eddy Lover, in which the two protagonists face the game of seduction of a woman. This is Farruko’s first release since October, when he presented ‘Hay que volver’.

Colombian Manuel Turizo began the year with his single ‘Por un pendejo no se llora (Salud mi reina)’, a bachata with a seductive and sensual rhythm that he composed with his brother Julian Turizo, and that adds a new chapter to his series (Salud mi reina) that began last year with ‘Mírame ahora’ and ‘Cosas de enamorao’.

New music: Releases of the week

Codiciado presents the song ‘Todo pendejo’, as a preview of his upcoming album ‘Así es la vida’, in which he combines traditional country music with elements of Mexican music thanks to the sound of classical guitar and tuba. The song is a preview of the next stage of his career and attempts to capture the emotional vulnerability and silent loneliness of a love that may never return.

Legado’s new track is an example of modern regional Mexican with a powerful guitar set featuring a protagonist who lives without emotional ties or geographical borders: he disappears when he wants and reappears on the Mazatlan boardwalk or in Hollywood.

The group Herencia de Patrones releases its new studio album ‘El mundo es tuyo’, inspired by the movie ‘CLIKA’, whose protagonist is the vocalist and leader of the group, and shows the search for the American dream of a musician from a small town who wants to make a name for himself in Mexican-American music. The album includes corridos about self-improvement and empowerment, among others.

Puerto Rican singer Pedro Capó released the official video of his song ‘Divina’ during his performance at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, one of his fans’ favorites that includes a letter of admiration for a woman whose attributes steal sighs to the rhythm of a pop ballad. The official video, reported Agencia EFE, captures the energy of the sold-out performance and the Puerto Rican singer’s dedication on stage.
