Paranormal Bonds and Ties

Cuando el amor trasciende la muerte y se convierte en terror, el nuevo episodio de Observador Paranormal

Can a feeling as strong as love become a chain that binds us to the afterlife? After the emotional hangover of February 14, the Paranormal Observer podcast has released an episode that explores the darker side of relationships: “Paranormal Bonds and Ties”. HERE you can listen to the podcast.

In this installment, hosts Juan Manuel Torreblanca and Roberto Belmont-who have established one of the most respected duos in mystery research thanks to their balance of skepticism and field experience-warn that “terrifying” relationships do not always end with a goodbye or death itself.

The episode begins with a necessary reflection: little is said about the dark side of love. According to Belmont, paranormal attachments are more common than we think, with a curiously higher incidence in women, due to a greater emotional receptivity and ability to handle the “subtext” of energies.

But what exactly is a paranormal bond? Torreblanca defines it as a physical, psychic and emotional bond that goes beyond a simple memory.

It is a forced continuity with a being that has already transcended. The drivers shared harrowing stories, such as that of a woman who continued to serve the soup dish to her deceased husband, until one day, before her eyes and with no one else at home, the soup disappeared from the dish.

The “Rumination”: The magnet of entities

One of the most revealing points of the episode was the technical explanation of how we invite these energies into our lives.

Juan Manuel Torreblanca explained the concept of rumination: the act of repeating obsessive thoughts about a loss or a breakup.

“The brain does not distinguish equally between what you perceive and what you remember. If you mentally play that it still exists, you strengthen the link. You connect with whatever is in your same emotional ‘tone’: pain, anger or obsession,” Torreblanca said.

This state of “low vibration” makes us vulnerable, turning the memory into an “appeal” for entities seeking to feed on that energy.

Case Studies: From Screen to Reality

The note rises in tone when documented cases that have defied science are addressed:

The Case of Doris Bither (1974): In Culver City, California, a woman was the victim of brutal physical attacks by three entities.

The frightening thing about this case, which inspired the movies, is that the investigation focused on the phenomenon and not on breaking the emotional bond of the victim, which resulted in the siege never ending, not even by moving house.

The Phantom Lover Syndrome: Belmont rescued Babylonian and British records from the 1920s on “nocturnal entities” or succubi/incubi.

These were not just dreams; witnesses reported temperature drops, moaning noises and physical marks of violent intimate encounters with beings from beyond.

The chilling testimony of “Holly”.

The peak of horror came with the case of Holly, a woman who, after divorcing her violent and possessive husband in 2018, began living through an ordeal when he passed away months later.

What started as a whiff of her perfume or whispers of “don’t go” escalated to physical assaults when she tried to rebuild her life with a new partner in 2020.

Witnesses reported seeing Holly’s body arch and levitate slightly, while guttural psychophonies screamed “mine” or “get out of here.”

The case is a reminder that sometimes closing a cycle is not an option, but a necessity for survival.

How to protect yourself?

Despite the traumatic nature of the topic, the hosts closed with practical advice for QuéOnnda’s audience:

Ruling out the medical: Before thinking about ghosts, mental health and chemical regulation should be checked. “Schizophrenia does not move furniture,” Torreblanca clarified.

Closing the cycle from within: Don’t wait for the other person (living or dead) to give you closure. Saying goodbye is an internal process.

Get busy and walk: Getting out of the house, bathing and physically walking helps the mind and emotions move out of the pain loop.

The episode of “Ataduras y Vínculos Paranormales” is now available on all audio platforms, such as Apple Podcast and Spotify, where you can also listen to other titles promoted by QuéOnnda and Nueva Network, such as Crímenes del Más Allá.
