Cuban host and author Rashel Díaz, beloved by Hispanic audiences in the United States thanks to her career in television and digital media, is going through a difficult time after the loss of her grandmother.

Through an emotional message on his Instagram account, Diaz opened his heart and shared with his followers the pain, nostalgia and, at the same time, the gratitude he feels for having had such a special woman in his life.

In her publication, the communicator expressed how difficult it was for her to find the right words to describe the avalanche of feelings that invade her:

“After some time trying to write the best lyrics for the best grandmother, I can realize that I have no words to describe the combination of emotions I feel inside me. Inside me there is a great pain, but there also appears the joy of your smile…”.

Rashel recalled both the most recent moments, marked by her grandmother’s physical wear and tear, and the happy moments that remained engraved in her memory: the walks hand in hand to her flamenco classes, the dances at her wedding, the caresses while holding her daughter Daniela and the affection for her son Juan Daniel when he was just a baby.

The presenter also shared that her grandmother had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s years ago, a disease that gradually diminished her vitality. However, she emphasized that until her last breath she fulfilled her most important mission: to keep the whole family together.

“Grandmother, in the midst of this great pain I can only thank God infinitely for choosing you as my grandmother. Thank you for the legacy you leave us of love, fortitude, courage and effort. You were so special that until your last breath you fulfilled your great mission, that the family was united,” she reflected.

Rashel revealed that in the last days of her grandmother’s life, all the family members remained around her. Children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren shared hours of tears, laughter, anecdotes and memories, accompanying her in an atmosphere of love and togetherness.

“During these 4 days, there we all were, around your bed, crying, but also remembering beautiful stories with you, laughing, sleeping together on the couch or in mommy’s bed. Even before you left you led us on the path of family unity,” she wrote.

The businesswoman accompanied her words with family photographs showing the closeness and joy that her grandmother transmitted. She closed her message with a tone of faith and hope, convinced that someday they will meet again:

“We are at peace, because we honored you in life at all times. You were and will be our Queen, now rest in peace at our Father’s side, where there is no pain and there is eternal life. We love you and will continue to honor you with our actions, We will see you again, Grandma! Thank you for so much.”

Rashel Diaz’s testimony resonates especially with the Hispanic community living in the United States, where grandparents are seen as the emotional and cultural pillar of many families. Her words reflect values deeply rooted in Latino culture: family unity, respect for elders and gratitude for the legacies left by past generations.

For many followers, his message was not only a personal tribute, but also a reminder of the importance of honoring loved ones in life and keeping their values alive after their departure.
