On Monday, May 19, six days after Marquez’s murder, a deliveryman left a bouquet of red roses at the entrance of “Blossom The Beauty Lounge,” the beauty salon where the crime occurred.
What caught the eye was the white ribbon with gold lettering that bore the word “Pardon”.
The delivery driver, identified as Fernando, stated that he was only fulfilling a delivery request from an anonymous customer and that he had to take a photograph of the location as proof.
Ongoing investigation by the authorities
The Jalisco State Prosecutor’s Office has taken this fact as part of the ongoing investigation into Marquez’s murder.
The area was cordoned off again to collect evidence and determine the provenance of the floral arrangement and its possible relation to the crime.
So far, the identity of the sender has not been revealed nor has it been confirmed whether the message is directly related to the perpetrator of the murder.
