San Luis defeats América and ignites the tournament

San Luis was the star performer on Wednesday in the second round of the Mexican Clausura tournament, defeating America, who played 70 minutes with a man down, 2-0 at home.

Uruguayan Juan Manuel Sanabria and Italian Joao Pedro scored the goals for the team led by Spanish coach Guillermo Abascal, who was able to take advantage of the expulsion of defender Ramón Juárez in the 20th minute. América, coached by Brazilian André Jardine, had to resist San Luis’ pressure from then on.
