Love, mystery, action and big returns mark February’s series premieres, with two headliners: ‘Heated Rivalry’, the Canadian TV hit making waves on the internet, and the second part of the fourth season of ‘Bridgerton’ on Netflix .
‘Heated Rivalry’ (HBO Max and Movistar+)
Becoming one of the TV phenomena of the year thanks to the push of thousands of fans on the internet, this low-budget Canadian series reaches the rest of the world with a story of love, field hockey and secrets.
Starring actors Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, the drama chronicles the hidden relationship between two rival ice hockey stars who have been having an affair for nearly a decade.
Based on a romance novel by Rachel Reid, the series deals with love, denial and self-discovery, as well as the difficulties of living openly with homosexuality in elite sport. Its success has already secured it a second season.
The series arrives on February 6 in all countries that have HBO Max in Latin America, except Brazil, which arrives on the 13th.

‘Bridgerton’ (Netflix, Feb. 26).
The second part of the fourth season of the series -with four new episodes- focuses on Benedict Bridgerton, the second son of the famous family, played by Luke Thompson. Reluctant to marry despite the fact that his brothers have already formed their own families, his outlook changes when a mysterious masked lady bursts into his life during a ball.
‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ (Netflix, Feb. 5).
The series based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling novels reaches its fourth season with the adaptation of ‘The Law of Innocence’. Mickey Haller (Manuel García-Rulfo) must prove the innocence of a former client, Sam Scales (Christopher Thornton), accused of murder, while facing the FBI and the prosecution in a case that will bring up old ghosts.

‘The Night Agent’ (Netflix, February 19).
In its third season, this action thriller inspired by Matthew Quirk’s novel follows Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), a young FBI agent who is tasked with tracking down a Treasury Department employee on the run in Istanbul after murdering his superior and getting his hands on classified information.
‘Paradise’. (Disney+, February 23)
Considered by some the new ‘Lost’, ‘Paradise’ returns with a second season set in a town that sees its usual tranquility disrupted by a shocking murder. Xavier embarks on a worldwide search for Teri and discovers how people have survived the three years since ‘The Day’.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’ (Apple TV, February 27)
The Godzilla spin-off returns with a second season of ten episodes in which Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell and Anna Sawai will enter the world of monsters in places like Skull Island, from the King Kong universe, under the threat of a terrifying titan.
Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette’ (Disney+, February 13).
Ryan Murphy signs this miniseries that explores the extraordinary love story of the iconic couple John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, played by Paul Anthony Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon. The cast features guest star Naomi Watts as the glamorous Jackie Kennedy.
’56 Days’ (Prime Video, February 18)
Based on the novel ‘Obsession’ by Catherine Ryan, the series follows the story of Oliver and Ciara, two young people who live a story of passion marked by a terrible event: after 56 days together, they find a brutally murdered body in an apartment.

‘The Artful Dodger’ (Disney+, February 10).
The second season of this story of reinvention and redemption introduces new dilemmas for Jack Dawkins, the legendary pickpocket in love with Lady Belle, daughter of the governor. In the new episodes, Dodger is torn between the promise of an impossible love in high society and the instinctive temptation of the criminal world he secretly craves.
‘Cross’ (Amazon Prime, February 11).
The television adaptation of the characters created by James Patterson returns with a second season in which Alex Cross, a detective and forensic psychologist, returns to delve into the minds of killers and their victims to identify and capture the culprits.
The Last Thing He Told Me’ (Apple TV, February 20)
This thriller starring Jennifer Garner reaches its second season with eight new episodes. When Owen (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) turns up after five years missing, Hannah (Garner) and her stepdaughter Bailey (Angourie Rice) find themselves in a race against time to reunite their family before the past catches up with them.
Like water for chocolate’ (HBO Max, February 16).

In the second and final season of this series produced by Salma Hayek, Tita seemed to find in Dr. Brown the promise of a different destiny; however, Pedro’s return rekindles a passion as intense as it is forbidden.
Against a backdrop of violence and profound social changes in Mexico, the events push all the characters to confront their own limits, always under the persistent spell of the kitchen and its magic, reported Agencia EFE.
