Sony Pictures’ trailer for ‘Spider-Man: A Brand New Day’ surpassed 1 billion views, according to data from data analytics firm Wavemetrix collected Tuesday by Variety.
The trailer currently has 1.1 billion views, making it the most viewed in history, according to the specialized media.
The teaser for the Tom Holland-starring film had broken the record for the most-viewed trailer release of all time after reaching 718.6 million views in its first 24 hours.
In just eight hours, the new trailer smashed the record of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ (2024), which led the chart with 365 million views.

With this milestone, the film surpasses the mark that the Marvel film set after unseating ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ (2021), which previously held the title with 355.5 million views on its first day.
The cast includes Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo.
According to the official synopsis, the new installment jumps in time four years after the events of ‘No WAy Home’. Peter “lives completely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of his loved ones.”
The superhero continues to fight crime in New York full time, “but as the demands increase, the pressure triggers a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, while a strange new pattern of crime gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced,” he continues, reported Agencia EFE.
