Chivas Guadalajara, leaders in the standings with a perfect record, will host eighth-placed América this Saturday in the Mexican soccer derby, the most promising duel of the sixth round of the Clausura tournament.
With five wins in five appearances, Argentine coach Gabriel Milito’s Chivas are off to a blistering start, with the league’s best offense, boasting a frequency of two goals scored per game and a defense with less than one goal conceded every 90 minutes.
Guadalajara defends its undefeated record

At home , Guadalajara will insist on remaining perfect against an América with ups and downs, which has the second poorest attack of the campaign, three goals, seven less than its rival.
Confident of improving its offense, América this week added Brazilian midfielders Raphael Veiga and Vinicius Lima.
Coach André Jardine is confident that the team will start to grow and that the derby is the ideal moment to start doing so.
While they will be looking to attack in order to take all three points and make a statement, the Eagles will have to remain organized.
This was against an opponent in a great moment, with scorer Armando González second in the scoring charts with four goals, one less than San Luis’ Italian Joao Pedro, the leading scorer.
